Für medizinische Laien ist es nicht leicht herauszufinden, dass die "Grippe-Schutzimpfung" bzw. Influenza-Impfung weder vor der Ansteckung noch vor der Erkrankung schützt, da sie dafür enfach nicht geignet ist (mehr dazu hier und hier).
Es gibt aber noch ein weiteres Märchen, nämlich dass diese Impfung trotzdem vor schweren Verläufen wie Lungenentzündung etc. schützt. The Journal of Infectious Diseases liefert uns einen Artikel, der das Gegenteil beweist: "Does Influenza Vaccination Modify Influenza Severity? Data on Older Adults Hospitalized With Influenza During the 2012−2013 Season in the United States". Zitat:
"We used data from a large surveillance network to further investigate the effect of influenza vaccination on influenza severity in adults aged ≥50 years who were hospitalized with laboratory-confirmed influenza. [...] Overall, no differences in severity were observed in the multivariable logistic regression model. [...]No associations were found between vaccination status and admission to the ICU, death, diagnosis of pneumonia, or length of stay at the hospital or ICU [...] The odds of having severe influenza and pneumonia among the vaccinated cases were not statistically different from those of the unvaccinated cases in any of the 3 age categories, after adjustment for sex, race, BMI, medical condition, alcohol abuse and smoking status, and type of influenza virus for cases who received antiviral treatment. Likewise, among cases who received antiviral treatment, we did not find any difference in ICU and hospital length of stay between the vaccinated and unvaccinated cases, by age category, and after adjustment for sex, race, BMI, medical condition, alcohol abuse and smoking status, and type of influenza virus. [...] "
Ein interessantes Detail am Rande: man muss anscheinend doch etwas positives über diese "Schutzimpfung" sagen, sonnst kriegt man den Artikel möglicherweise nicht veröffentlicht, anders kann ich den folgenden Bullshit nicht erklären. Die Autoren schreiben: "In the propensity score model, we found that individuals aged 50−64 years who were vaccinated against influenza were more likely to be discharged earlier from the ICU, compared with those who were not vaccinated (HR, 1.84; 95% CI, 1.12−3.01), with a median of a half-day reduction in time spent in the ICU. A similar trend was also seen among those aged 65−74 years, although this finding was not statistically significant." Kein Wort allerdings darüber, dass für die Gruppe über 74 bei den Geipften (55%) der Aufenthalt auf der Intensivstation zwangsläufig länger sein muss, wenn es insgesammt keinen Unterschied zu Ungeimpften gibt.
Diese Ergebnisse sollen auch nicht wundern, da die respiratorischen Viren ständig mutieren. Die typische Grippeimpfung basiert auf 3 Virus-Stämmen, was nach einem ziemlichen Bullshit klingt, wenn man sich z.B. die Daten der Arbetsgemeinschaft Influenza anschaut, Bericht KW 10 2019: "Seit der 40. KW 2018 wurden im Rahmen der virologischen Sentinelsurveillance der Arbeitsgemein-schaft Influenza des Robert Koch-Instituts (AGI) 848 Influenzaviren identifiziert, darunter 386 (46%) Influenza A(H3N2)-Viren und 462 (54%) Influenza A(H1N1)pdm09-Viren."
